turned up in Chennai airport to checkin for the 1540 paramount flight to hyderabad. 'Sir, that flight is not there'. 'If it was cancelled why was not informed by SMS?'. 'Sir it was not cancelled - it was never scheduled, there was a 1540 flight some months ago, but that does not exist now' 'Then how come you have given me a confirmed booking on a flight that doesnt exist?' 'We dont know sir, but the computer shows the flight with you as the only passenger'. And since the flight was never scheduled, it wasnt cancelled so I never got an SMS. So the booked me on seat no 1 on the 1950 flight - offered me a car and driver to go home and come. I said I would sit in the lounge and work - they said fine, eat and drink as much as you want. As I sat down to eat, got a call - 'there is a jet flight leaving in 10 minutes - would you like to go on that?' So I went on that with about 5 people to carry my luggage, zip me through security and put me on the plane which was kept waiting for my arrival. Nice to be the only person on an airport bus. Paramount rocks.
